TripIt Travel Organizer – FREE allows users to have their trip details organized in one app. This easy to use app can either be used by creating a new account or logging in with existing Google and Google Apps accounts. Once logged in, Trip It will immediately notify users of upcoming trips (when available).
Two options for adding plans to TripIt FREE are available for first time users – by forwarding confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com or by importing them automatically by tapping on the "Start Auto Import” button.
New and existing users can easily add new trips and create one helpful itinerary which includes the following details – description, plans, destination, start and end date and name or location. Users can choose to either share plans or keep them private.
TripIt FREE also allows users to connect with friends via www.tripit.com and let Facebook or LinkedIn friends know where one is headed.
Using this app is easy and is helpful for business people who travel regularly. But lately, users of TripIt FREE have noticed that an update caused it to require payment for checking flight status. Except for that disadvantage, this app is good to have.
The best part of this app is how it will automatically check your Inbox (Google only, I think) for new updates and confirmations and then add to or build your itineraries. TripIt helped me to find an error I had made when booking my flights online!
I can imagine that this is extremely useful for anyone who has to book and check travel arrangements for multiple people.
